A little bit about me

Act 1 of my career saw me gain vast experience as a dedicated employee inside people and change functions across many different organisations and sectors, helping people and change teams transform from strategy to execution.

Now, I'm dedicating Act 2 to a new purpose: translating this experience to provide specialist support across the businesses I partner with, helping organisations and the people within them truly grow.

The world is increasingly unpredictable. Customers, shareholders, regulators and colleagues have different needs. The demand for corporate responsibility is at the highest it’s ever been. More agile ways of working are needed. In response to this complexity and uncertainty, more focus is needed for people and capability centred businesses. I’ve seen firsthand how this places demands for a new leadership. It's a leadership that doesn't shy away from the 'messiness' of being human. It's one that recognises that a healthy, vibrant culture is integral to success, no matter how you measure it.

My career has been far from linear, defined by my obsession with learning and constantly evolving. My work is about bringing the art, and the science, of change together, so your people can find meaning and freedom in what they do to deliver your business goals.

What I believe

  • Every business is a people business - regardless of what you do

  • The world is increasingly demanding and complex - change is inevitable & people need support for it

  • Effective change pays attention to people’s needs and psychology -ignoring these will limit your success

  • Work can be more successful and enjoyable - it’s not either/or.

  • Effective change starts and ends with clarity about the outcomes - and outcomes can evolve

  • People want to work, feel valued, and know they matter -they deserve this from work

  • Everyone has talent - It may be latent or mismatched but it's there

  • leaders disproportionately impact your culture and colleague experience

  • there's no silver bullet to guarantee successful change but there's always opportunity for growth

Change is often complex but there are steps you can take to help simplify.  My approach is built on a simple premise; a successful transformation needs both a clear plan and the support of your people.

Because I understand every path to success is unique, you won't get a pre-defined playbook from me. We'll explore your drivers, experiences, and your culture to build a bespoke approach that delivers the performance outcomes you’re seeking. I‘ll provide a framework built around your outcomes and an understanding of your organisations unique culture.  Recognising that you may require more than a set of recommendations, I can work alongside you and your teams to implement and embed the change you need.  My emphasis:

  • A human centred focus.  Every business is a people business so understanding the motivations, fears and what people in your business need to thrive through change, is an essential foundation.

  • Empathetic leadership.  With three decades of experience, I bring a calm and insightful presence to even the most turbulent environments, helping leaders and teams navigate the ambiguous, emotional and practical sides of change.
